I would strongly advise against banding forc several hours unless you absolutely want to do permanent damage and risk blood-clots.

I get that nice shade of purple after maybe a quarter of an hour, as the oxygen in the blood gets depleted. I got a good tan overall and have fairly dark skin around my privat parts, so that only shows on my glans.
